Just About Dolls is a club for doll collectors and doll makers of all types of dolls, and we enjoy the diversity in the collections that are shared with the club. We also welcome visitors to the club who have an interest in dolls or doll related subjects.
The primary thing we want you to know about our club is that we have fun in an informal, friendly, cooperative and supportive atmosphere. If you enter the doors feeling like a stranger, you're sure to leave feeling like you have met some kindred souls and made some new friends.
Our club members share their love of dolls by giving presentations about their collections or about any doll related subject.
In addition to our own club activities, we are frequently invited to participate in functions sponsored by other UFDC affiliated clubs, such as luncheons, tours, doll shows, or regional or national conventions.
Most of our club meetings are open to the public and visitors are warmly received. The club members would enjoy meeting you and learning about your doll collecting or doll making activities. Please join us for our next meeting, and feel free to bring a doll to share during our "show and tell" time.
If you are interested in joining our club but cannot attend our meetings during the time we usually meet, please let us know. We will then be able to notify you if we change our meeting day or time.
The objective of UFDC is to create, stimulate, and maintain a local, national, and international interest in all matters pertaining to doll collecting.
UFDC establishes and promotes educational and philanthropic endeavors through dolls and serves as a clearing house for ideas relating to dolls. The UFDC Department of ReAL Services produces audio-visual and printed educational materials, and maintains the organization's doll collection, research library, and archives. UFDC members are actively involved in the establishment and maintenance of museums and libraries with temporary and permanent doll and toy exhibits. The annual National Convention provides members with a unique opportunity to visit and participate in comprehensive study and competitive exhibits, a large and varied sales room, educational seminars, hands-on workshops, and daily lectures and programs. DOLL NEWS, the official quarterly UFDC publication, provides original research articles, organizational news, a calendar of events, convention and conference reports, and articles on all areas of doll collecting.
UFDC - with the help of our volunteers working together, we are preserving yesterday and today for tomorrow. Unity is our symbol.
